DIY Kings of Leon and The National Sharpie Painted Vans Shoes

This is the third post dedicated to showing off my sister’s amazing art talent.  See the first one here and the second one here.

I was so in love with my sister’s Donnie Darko Vans that she made herself, so she decided to make me some decorated with two of my favorite bands, Kings of Leon and The National.

A silhouette of Kings of Leon on the left and The National poster art on the right…

A depiction of the National’s “Mistaken for Strangers” on the top, and KOL’s “Taper Jean Girl” lyrics and legs on the bottom…

KOL’s “Bucket” lyrics on top, and The National’s “Apartment Story” lyrics on the bottom…

Cool album art logos on the back…

Kristen, thanks for letting me feature your amazing work this week! Love you…

UPDATE: My sister now has an Etsy shop with shoes for sale here!

Coming up in the next two weeks, I will be featuring my wedding, including lots of DIY details and budget saving tips… Stay tuned!

  1. Tori says:

Would your sister ever consider decorating shoes for money?! Just wondering because that’s amazing and I’ve been trying to find someone to do this but no one seems up to it…

  2. Absolutely! Please contact me for more information…
