Party Theme: Vintage Baseball

Today, I have a party inspiration board to share with you featuring a vintage baseball theme!  Here is the inspiration…

COLOR INSPIRATION

No colors scream Americana baseball more than red, white, and blue.

DECOR

Stick with vintage, weathered pieces whenever possible.  Chances are, someone you know has some old wooden bats or leather gloves lying around somewhere which would be perfect as table decor.  Burlaps and ginghams are perfect choices for any fabric accents.  Keep the atmosphere casual, like a day at the ballpark. I always like to let my centerpieces do double duty; peanuts and cracker jacks on display at each table will look adorable while keeping guest’s appetites at bay until the meal.

FOOD

Ballpark hotdogs are the obvious choice; they’re easy to whip up by the masses, they’re delicious, and they’re a true ballpark staple!  Make them a real crowd-pleaser by offering a variety of toppings for guests to customize their “dogs”.

DESSERT

If you can round up a few bakers to help out, a pie buffet is a great option.  There is bound to be a pie for everyone.  Serve with whip cream or even ice cream if a freezer is available.

ACTIVITIES

Baseball, of course!  Ask guests to bring their mitts and enjoy a fun game together.  If the guests are a little less enthusiastic about playing, play whiffleball!  It’s low pressure and the whiffle ball and bat are the only equipment required.
