Eddie in the D

Yesterday was a busy day  for Detroit sports teams!  The Tigers played Texas in the ALCS and the Lions, for the first time in forever, played Monday Night Football at Ford Field.

The mister was lucky enough to have the day off for Columbus Day {not fair!} so he and Eddie headed downtown to get in on the action.

It was Eddie’s first time in the city!

What a HAM!  It’s like he’s actually smiling for the camera.

The baseball game was actually in Texas yesterday, but the games today and tomorrow are at Comerica.

Eddie wanted to sneak a peek…

He isn’t afraid of some tiger 500 times his size.  He’s a doberman and it’s just a cat after all!

All in all, they had a nice walk around D-town before it got too packed.  It wouldn’t have mattered too much if it was crowded though, because people cleared out when they saw Eddie coming.  Apparently, a doberman plus Detroit equals a “guard dog that will kill you on the spot.”  I can’t be too offended; I’d probably have five guard dogs if I lived in Detroit! :-p

He’s so cute! It is funny when people move out of the way. I always think, “do you really think I would have him around people if there was something to be worried about?” 🙂

I stumbled on your blog searching for little boys train-themed rooms… and couldn’t help but check out your big guy. We’ve had a few dobies and lived in more than a few cities – it’s not just Detroit! No matter where we are, people cross the street when we’re coming – especially when we’re walking TWO. Your Eddie is a beauty!
